Justice For All

This page outlines how I strive to make my work across all platforms and mediums an inclusive space that respects and celebrates diversity in all its forms. This page is more than just a collection of promises; it's a public commitment to accountability, growth, and the active support of all communities in pursuit of justice and equity.

 

You will notice even my style of writing is different here. That is because I know the harms that have been committed in the name of power and privilege aren't just a thing of the past, but a very real reality for many people today.

There may be times when we disagree, or I fall short of expectations, but I can promise I will never intentionally cause harm and will always consider feedback thoughtfully.

This is Muscogee Creek Land

As a sole proprietor living and working on the land of the Muskogee Creek Nation, I am committed to honoring the history and sovereignty of the Muscogee Creek Nation and all Indigenous people in Oklahoma and around the world. This starts with acknowledging I am a settler on this land who has been a beneficiary of privileges created from the painful legacies of colonization and displacement that affect Indigenous communities to this day. I am committed to operating my business in a spirit of reconciliation, understanding, and respect for the land and its original caretakers.

I Pledge To

  • Acknowledge and Respect I promise to always recognize and honor the Muscogee Creek Nation as the traditional custodians of this land.

​

  • Educate and Reflect Continue to educate myself on the history and ongoing sovereignty struggles of the Muscogee Creek Nation and other Indigenous peoples, ensuring my work reflects respect and understanding.

​

  • Support Sovereignty Advocate for tribal sovereignty and support initiatives that promote the rights and well-being of Indigenous communities.

​

  • Collaborate and Amplify I will seek out and prioritize partnerships with Indigenous candidates and organizations, aiming to support and amplify their voices, ensuring their perspectives are heard and valued.

  • Share Knowledge Use my platform to share resources and information about protecting Indigenous sovereignty.

​

  • Advocate for Change Use my influence, however big or small, to advocate for social justice issues impacting Indigenous communities, ensuring that my actions contribute to positive change.

My Anti-Racism Pledge

Right now there is an urgent need for all of us, myself included, to actively engage in dismantling racism. This pledge is my promise to take meaningful steps towards creating a more just and equitable world.

I Pledge To:

  • Educate Myself and Share Knowledge I am committed to continuous learning about the systemic injustices faced by Black, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, and all marginalized groups. I will share valuable resources and insights to encourage a broader understanding among my audience.

  • Amplify Marginalized Voices My platform will be used to elevate the stories, works, and voices of marginalized individuals, ensuring they receive the attention and respect they deserve.

  • Reflect on My Practices I will consistently review my business operations, collaborations, and content to ensure they reflect a commitment to equality and do not perpetuate racial stereotypes or injustices.

  • Support Equity through Collaboration I will seek out and prioritize working with individuals from historically underrepresented groups in my projects, valuing their unique perspectives and contributions.

  • Reject Work from People Who Oppose Equity I commit to declining projects or partnerships with anyone whose actions or beliefs actively undermine efforts towards achieving equity and justice for all communities.

  • Advocate for Systemic Change I recognize my responsibility and commit to advocating for policies and practices that address and dismantle racial inequities within my community and beyond.

  • Foster an Inclusive Environment In all aspects of my work, I strive to create spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and respected, acknowledging the importance of diversity in driving innovation and understanding.

This pledge reflects my commitment to taking intentional steps towards fostering a world where everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, can thrive in equity and love.
